GMCA positions for Annual Case Competition

The GMCA is now accepting applications for Case Competition Chair and Case Competition Planning Committee Members. This is a great opportunity to become more involved with the GMCA.
1. Case Competition Chair (1 Position)
The GMCA will be hosting a business case competition in April 2011. This will be the third case competition hosted by the GMCA and our past case competitions had been a great success (http://www.gmcauoft.com/casecomp/).
As chair of the case competition, you will head the committee to plan and carry out the competition. This position is a fairly large time commitment, but a great opportunity. You will have the full support of the GMCA executive council. Planning of the case competition will begin in late January.

Endeavour Non-Profit Case Competition for Professionals & Students

We would like to invite you to Endeavour's Inaugural Non-Profit Case Competition. The event takes place over the course of a week on June 3rd, 5th and 12th in Toronto, and will bring together a large and diverse group of professionals, students, businesses and community members to help a non-profit. This year, the selected non-profit partner is Windfall Basics, a Toronto-based charity that addresses poverty as a social issue.
As a participant in this event, you will:
- Learn about consulting models and methods directly from professionals
- Apply your skills to develop a practical strategy to solve a real business case for a charity
- Understand a standard project cycle in the life of a management consultant
- Network with professionals, recent graduates and graduate students, including consultants on the judging panel
- Contribute to positive social change
- Find out how you can get involved in volunteer consulting for non-profits with Endeavour, a non-profit that has recruited over 200 professional and student volunteers to provide management consulting to over 30 non-profits in Ontario for free
Registrations are now open for participants and general attendance. The competition is open to anyone with a university/college degree, and attendance is open to everyone.
