It's been a great first year for the GMCA

We are approaching the end of the academic year (not that that means much to us graduate students) and looking back on the first year of the GMCA. We hosted our very successful first annual GMCA Case Competition (with support from BCG, Miltenyi Biotec, and many others) and we are looking forward to our second Case Competition coming this April. We hosted information and networking sessions with McKinsey and with SHI. We hosted a career panel with consultants from BCG and Deloitte. And we have hosted several regular sessions of our Practice Case Interview Series (PCIS), helping students prepare for the onerous case interviews which await any future management consultant. GMCA Graduate Management Case Competition 2010

The Management Consulting Case Competition is designed for graduate students and post-doctoral fellows who want to explore the management consulting industry and to challenge themselves in solving business case studies in a competitive learning environment.
You will learn and obtain feedback from experienced consultants in the ‘Crack the Case’ session and Advisory Round before the competition. No previous management consulting or case experience is required. Can’t find a team? You are welcomed to use our online forum to search for prospective teammates. Ongoing event:
Are you ready for your case interviews?

If you are considering a job in management consulting, be sure to join us for our ongoing Practice Case Interview Series (PCIS). This series is designed to give GMCA members the opportunity to practice case interviews similar to those which will be conducted when interviewing for a position with a management consulting firm. Each session will consist of a 15 minute presentation about a specific category of case questions like “strategy”, “market sizing”, “marketing”, “profitability”, and then the relevant cases will be provided for one on one practice.
