The GMCA Executive Committee

President - Andre Dias

Since it’s founding in 2009 the GMCA has grown tremendously. To go from just an idea to a group whose events are attended by consultants from many of the industry’s top firms, in just 2 years, is a testament to the hard work and vision of previous executives. This year we aim to continue this trend by maintaining the GMCA’s existing programs and expanding with a focus on education and networking.

As President my responsibility will be to oversee the direction and operations of the GMCA and ensure that we continue to provide talented graduate students with the best possible tools to prepare them for a career in consulting.

I am currently in the second year of my PhD at the Department of Nutritional Sciences, University of Toronto pursuing a thesis that explores the genetic determinants of salty, sweet and fatty tastes through a combination of clinical and epidemiological methods.

I am member of a number of student executive groups including the Advanced Food and Materials network HQP council, the Nutritional Sciences Graduate Student Association, and the Life Science Career and Development Society.

In my spare time I enjoy skiing, fishing, reading and music.
